About Finn

Hello, my name is Finn McElhatten  and I’m a fourth year design major at the University of San Francisco. I am a graphic artist striving to become a product and package designer, specializing in toy design. My strengths lie primarily in graphic illustration, print and editorial design, brand identity, and web design, utilizing tools such as Adobe’s Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva, and HTML/CSS

I’ve always been extremely interested in working as a toy designer, discovering the ways children are engaged with the product, while enticing parents with both messaging and package design. Designing for a young audience seems like the perfect way to remain imaginative, creative, and youthful with my designs and create the things I once wished were real.

I am currently balancing two internships, working with the defense program Community for Ukraine as an infographic designer and the publishing company Casa Carlini as a designer of book covers. Following my college graduation, I plan to find a job at Mattel headquarters in El Segundo, California, my old hometown. Ultimately, I aspire to work for LEGO in Billund, Denmark.
